7. Letter Contents

It seemed, that hand indeed belonged to Skul. He could move that hand quite freely now. Although it was only a hand, but Skul was very satisfied.

The head is indeed the main part of a life, but just having the head also proves not to be too happy.

His teeth and jaw became the only tools he could use to 'grasp' something. And that too in a very limited capacity. The number or size.

He still remembered how troublesome and embarrassing it was when he helped Bod clear the map with a brush that only he could bite.

Now with that set of hands (which turned out to be the left hand, having been arranged correctly), he could do even more things.

One of them, he could hold the letter, which he had met yesterday in a crate. He had read it many times;

"Dear, Master."

The letter was opened like that, which signified at least his initial guess that he was a man, was correct. (Have you ever realized that the skeletons of women and men, at first glance, are no different?)

"You, who may have forgotten everything."

If he had an eyeball, Skul would have glared and then a vein appeared in his temple, which is also impossible. He's just a skull. Irritated. Because the author's guess is correct.

Then the author goes to the opening greeting section of the letter;

"What is the reason why I wrote this letter, but if you read it, then there is also a point in me writing this? Hehe."

Yes, the author really wrote hehe there. As for Skul, nothing is funny.

"I'm not the one who killed you, but it's not right that I'm called your savior. I can only be called the one who secured your body. Because that's exactly all I can do.

I watched the moments when your head slipped from his body. Then your body is mutilated and spread to several places."

Means Skul's guess is right, he was killed. But in what way? The way the author describes his death is unclear. 'Remove from his body'? Because what? Hows it? Letters instead of giving answers, even cause more questions.

Thankfully, that was not the end of the letter.

Why door? Not crates? Is it just a figure of speech? Or is it the real door? With his left palm, Skul ruffled his hair that was not there. He just looked like he was caressing his head violently.

"I pray that your next search goes well"

Amen!

"I don't know when you found this letter. Maybe a month? A year? Ten years after today? Maybe when you find this letter, I can no longer serve you. Maybe I'm ahead of you leaving this world, and not coming back"

Service to? Does that mean he was a king or something? Skul wanted to laugh at that. He is enjoying his life now simple and simple, it is very unimaginable that he used to be someone important, let alone adored by many people.

'Wait a minute, does that mean I was a cruel and evil king? Maybe I was beheaded for being judged by the masses!' Skul was rather horrified as well by his thoughts just now.

He decided to continue reading the letter, although to be honest, he almost memorized the entire contents of the letter out of his head. So he tried to strengthen himself. Gathering determination and courage, for the last line;

"But they never die."

Who're they? What do they want to do with him? Why does the author seem to warn himself about the danger of this 'them?

'Are they the ones who took my head off her body?' Skul wondered again.

But as always, our Skul Brother does not like to be too dizzy with this heavy thing. He folded the letter with one hand.

The training scroll was long enough to be able to do this smoothly, and every time it was finished, he would stare for a moment at the result of his folds in satisfaction. The shape of the folds forms next to the pigeon's wings.

He slipped the letter back into the ribbon that encircled his federal hat.

Where does the fedora hat that is now always on Skul's head, wherever he goes?

Patience.. We will discuss it in the next episode.
