Being my Teacher's Husband

Being my Teacher's Husband
Eps. 42 — Piece of Kindness

The sun is getting warmer and makes this body become radiant.

One Sunday, I walked out of the house to buy a snack. Incidentally near our complex house there is a supermarket, the distance is quite a bit far but can still be reached on foot.

I leaned my head up, looking at the clear expanse of sky. Clean, no clouds. At about 2 pm, the sun has begun to tilt its position to the west.

Upon arrival there, the supermarket is filled with many customers who are buying. ’Maybe because today's Sunday customer becomes more’ my mumble in heart.

Well, at least despite being crowded, the store was not jostling. I exhaled for a moment and then moved back into the store, when in there it was not difficult to find a rack that contained snacks, because the first glance when entering was a series of snacks lined up.

I thought my shopping at the store would be faster after finding a snack but it was far from it. After taking it I had to be made in line to pay the money to the cashier.

The cashier who should be guarding two people is now there is only one there, so the queue is longer and longer.

I let out a short sigh looking ahead, I don't know how long I'll be queuing up like this.

A few minutes continued to change, slowly slowly the distance between me and the cashier was getting closer, and in the end I came face to face with him.

The woman's cashier looked exhausted and depressed, probably because she had worked hard to serve all the customers alone. The moment when our eyes met his face he was forced to smile kindly, I knew it was their working procedure that had to keep smiling no matter what the condition of his heart was.

“Mbak, don't rest first?” I asked him as he was counting one by one my groceries.

The cashier stopped the movement of his hand, he turned to me for a moment. Of all his customers today, I'm the only one talking to him.

“Today, Mas. I'm just not used to working here.” Politely speaking.

“Oh, Mbak is new?”

The cashier nodded. “About one week I work here,”

I'm afraid of the head, “By the way you're alone here, where are the other workers?”

“They have other needs, it seems..”.

My eyebrows shot up in surprise but quickly nodded in fear that he would be offended. If my estimation is correct, this madam looks on purpose alone, or can be said she was tasked by her senior to keep a vigil at her own store.

I don't really understand about the world of the workers, but if the new workers are done like that then it's not much different from a new student at school.

After some time he had calculated everything and determined the price of shopping, I smiled kindly before giving the fitting money.

At first I was going to go straight home, but when I looked at the scenery here it was very dear if I went straight away.

The scenery I mean is not a garden or natural beauty, is not it! Unless it's just human traffic. It may seem strange but I like to see sights like this.

Soon I decided to sit first in one of the front seats of the store, they had provided it for customers who just wanted to hang out.

Snacks of chips that I bought earlier I opened to fill the emptiness of activities, ‘seems to sit-down itself is not too bad’ mumbamku slowly. Just about a few mouthfuls of chips I swallowed suddenly there was a phone notification sound that sounded.

My face smiled warmly as who sent it, that person who was none other than my wife, she asked where I was.

I didn't take her because Miss Lisa was taking a nap, so I came here alone. Then I replied to her chat saying that I was sitting at the front desk of the store and she replied that she was coming here.

It turned out that my current shell was not as alone as I had thought before, because after a few minutes had passed Miss Lisa arrived at the store and met me.

“It's been a long time here, Mas?” Miss Lisa asked while sitting at the table.

Bu Lisa who was about to stand stopped for a moment, “You buy a drink first Mas, Adek way here so thirsty.”

“Oh, if so buy 2 dear, Mas also want.”

Ms. Lisa nodded and went into the store, after a while she returned with two bottles of drinks.

“Thank you, my wife.”

Ms. Lisa smiled, said ‘mywife’ almost made her meet red tetepi fortunately she can control as best as possible.

I was with Kalisa just chatting lightly, just maybe from some conversation I deliberately seduced him which made his cheeks sometimes turn red.

Our conversation is actually very exciting if there is no sound of baby crying that suddenly interferes.

Right in front of the store door, there was a mother carrying her baby. The mother's clothes looked shabby and dirty, her hair was messy, her face looked very tired.

Several times the mother swung the baby in her carrier so as not to cry, she said ‘sabar’ repeatedly.

The middle-aged mother who was about to enter the store looked hesitant when she wanted to go inside, she looked down several times looking at the money in her grasp.

From what I see, mothers are short of money. When I wanted to go to him, I didn't know when the Miss Lisa sitting next to me was there.

Ms. Lisa spoke to the mother with a friendly smile, no matter what they said I could not hear it, but certainly after a few minutes passed Miss Lisa gave a hundred thousand about 5 pieces.

“Dek why these mothers?” I asked after Miss Lisa sat back in the chair.

Miss Lisa's face turned sad. “Kasihan Mas, the baby was crying because of hunger while the mother did not have enough money to buy her food.”

I heard him feel pity, “You don't mind, give so much money? Or change your money?”

Bu Lisa immediately shook her head quickly, “No need Mas, Adek sincerely gave her, anyways they need more than us.”

I could say nothing more than stroking her head, I knew she was my good wife so I could not comment.

The clang of the guitar came from one of the tables near us, there were two little boys busking while playing the guitar, they were singing cheerfully and happily.

The age range of both is about 10 and 11 years, still underage to be buskers. After someone gave him money, he moved on to the next table, and it stayed that way until it was my desk turn.

“Where are your parents?” Miss Lisa was ready that this little boy would come asking questions in a friendly tone.

“Sick, aunt.” Answer the two little boys.

“Sick why?” Ask Miss Lisa who made the two kids look at each other, confused. “Heartache, Aunt.”

For me and Ms. Lisa were actually aware that the two boys were lying, but Ms. Lisa kept smiling as if what they were saying was true.

“This is a pocket money from aunt for you,” Bu Lisa took the money in her bag, “Buy whatever you like, it's okay if you want to buy toys.”

The two young children looked at each other before saying their thanks over and over again to Ms. Lisa. “Tante hope both of your parents get well quickly.” Then after that the two little boys nodded and left.

Don't Forget Yes Like and Vote, maybe for those who read nge'like it is very simple but for the author it is such an amazing support.
