Chapters. 38 - A Body

Xiao Ruo walked without direction out of the family residence. Right now, his condition is not okay. The burns all over his body were getting bigger and hindering his steps. Both of his nostrils were bleeding and his vision grew blurred. His right hand rested on an old tree and grabbed it until it broke.

”Until when can I survive? Could it be that I would die in a place like this?” inner Xiao Ruo.

Nah! This is not the end of everything!

Xiao Ruo walked back. However, all of a sudden he fell forward and from behind, someone used both of his hands to hold his body from falling.

”Xiao Ruo! You dying?” ask the young man who helped her.

Feeling that he was familiar with this voice, Xiao Ruo immediately turned his attention to a young man who was next to him. As soon as he knew that he was Liu Zhang Chen, his face looked extremely annoyed and he immediately avoided it.

”Go! You're the one who made me like this! Now go!” snarled Xiao Ruo who looked annoyed.

Hearing that did not make Liu Zhang Chen retreat. He continued walking closer to Xiao Ruo and withdrew his hand. ”Until when will you avoid? You won't survive if you meet Hui Song! He's a god who's gonna cheat you!” liu Zhang Chen said loudly.

Xiao Ruo pulled his hand back and said, ”What do you really know about me? It's all your fault! Your fault! My reason for staying alive despite dying, is to protect little brother Xuan from you. You're the one who made him suffer all this time!”

Liu Zhang Chen looked at him sadly and was silent for a while. ”You're right. I'm the one who made you suffer and I've said it many times. I won't fight if you want to kill me, either. But, just listen to me once. You will never be able to trust a deceitful god like Hui Song.”

”Cih!”

Xiao Ruo growled in annoyance and said, ”If it can't then, I'll just choose to die!”

Again, Liu Zhang Chen grabbed his right hand and made Xiao Ruo grow even more annoyed at him. This time, however, he felt something was different. He felt his pain decrease and the wounds that were all over his body slowly disappeared.

He looked very surprised and immediately asked, ”What did you do to me?! Why is it like this?”

Liu Zhang Chen opened his eyes slowly and right then and there, he immediately replied, ”I channeled my power energy towards you. The damage done to your body is only half of it. Therefore, everything will be fine. Qing Xuan wouldn't know about this.”

Xiao Ruo looked anxious and immediately said, ”Why do all this? It's the same as me taking a part of the rest of your life!”

”Why? Didn't you expect my death? In this way, you don't have to smear your hands with blood. Let me die by myself and hand over the rest of my age to you.”

”This is not what I want! Release!” snarled Xiao Ruo who was trying to let go of his hand. However, Liu Zhang Chen still held him back with all his might.

”What would Qing Xuan say if she saw you like this?” asked Liu Zhang Chen who looked serious.

”What will I say later?” asked the young man who appeared behind the two.

”Sister Ruo is dying and Master Chen is giving the rest of his life? Why am I the only one who doesn't understand? Is it because I am a stranger that you are afraid to tell?” xiao Qing Xuan asked as he walked over to the two.

The two fell silent for a while and allowed Xiao Qing Xuan to continue walking over to him.

Shortly after, Liu Zhang Chen finally let go of Xiao Ruo's hand and walked up to Xiao Qing Xuan who was behind him.

As he had been before him, Liu Zhang Chen showed a faint smile. He touched Xiao Qing Xuan's shoulder and said, ”Just relax. Everything's gonna be fine. Nothing you need to worry about.”

Xiao Qing Xuan directly threw away the hand of Liu Zhang Chen who was still touching his shoulder and snapped, ”Is that alright?! What I worry about the most is the two of you! All this time, you guys kept saying 'all right.' and now I want to ask, what's okay?”

Liu Zhang Chen replied, ”All right in all meanings that you understand or not.”

Xiao Qing Xuan directly pulled Liu Zhang Chen's clothing collar and looked at him furiously while snapping, ”Stop saying nonsense sentences! Is it very difficult to explain the circumstances of the two of you?”

Suddenly, Xiao Ruo pulled him from behind. And after that, he took Xiao Qing Xuan away from the place. However, out of curiosity as to what was happening behind him, Xiao Qing Xuan pulled her hand back and said, ”I won't leave before you guys explain everything. ” he said while walking backwards slowly.

Xiao Ruo was silent for a while and looked at him coldly. His attitude was very much different from what he had shown in the past years. Xiao Ruo was like a foreigner who had deliberately acted differently so that he could get away from her. Plus, it was Xiao Ruo who did not know that Xiao Qing Xuan was going to force her like this.

Then, shortly after they were in the silence of the trees, Xiao Ruo finally said, ”If you don't want to leave then, stay here.” he said coldly as he stepped away leaving.

Xiao Qing Xuan who heard him could only fall silent as she watched him leave. He then ducked for a while while staring at the green grass he was stepping on at this moment.

Before long, he heard the sound of footsteps walking towards him. It sounds light however, it is actually very difficult to do.

Liu Zhang Chen placed his palm on top of Xiao Qing Xuan's head and said, ”Go home. You were worried about Xiao Ruo and Xiao Ruo also always worried about you. Supposedly, you two can look after each other and understand. So, you should just go home.” he said while releasing his palm and after that he also left.

A while continuing to duck and stare at the same object, Xiao Qing Xuan finally turned in the opposite direction to the two. He walked back from the place and when he met a lake, he finally stopped there.

For a moment he washed his face violently and many times to make his face red with pain.

”Haah, I've really gone crazy! Why ask such a thing? It felt like dying alone.” Xiao Qing Xuan muttered as she stared at herself on the surface of the lake.

”Ahh! So shy! Can't I act normally as usual?!” xiao Qing Xuan shouted in his mind as he ducked down on his two arms.

Moments after he continued to do the same, Xiao Qing Xuan suddenly woke up as she felt that something was pointing at her. He immediately looked at the direction and felt very surprised after seeing dozens of disembodied spirits moving towards him.
