The palace was rejoicing, the annual harvest party was finally organized. Residents already suspect that this year's harvest is no celebration considering the eastern country that experienced drought at the beginning of the growing season. The eastern country was too late to plant until they only got a small yield compared to last year. But, the residents of the eastern country felt that it was more than enough. So the representative of the country asked the emperor to keep celebrating the harvest as in previous years.
And, Emperor Zhou responded. This morning at the palace, as a series of events that will be held, one of them is the best young warrior fight. This battle was only with bare hands, and without any weapons. The winner will get many pieces of metal and a position in the imperial soldiers.
"Let's start the fight of the best warriors."
Gong was rung loudly after Emperor Zhou struck the greatest Gong. It is also a sign of the official annual harvest celebration held over the next week. The Empire would distribute some crops to the poor in various parts of the country, which is why the people of this Dynasty were so enthusiastic.
"How, uncle?"
The middle-aged man called uncle turned his head, "It's ready, Your Majesty."
"You're fifth." he added.
"Good, uncle. Then I'll be ready."
"But, Your Majesty." hold the old man. "What if the emperor finds out."
"The emperor won't know if you don't share the information." the man called His Majesty gave the man a few pieces of metal, after which he went somewhere.
The first, second, and third games were pretty easy. Because the young soldiers have a lack of fighting skills. Emperor Zhou applauded when the fourth match was won by a soldier in yellow.
"I've guessed he's the winner." The Queen Mother whispered to the emperor.
"Yes, Mother." replied the emperor.
The Queen Mother circulated her gaze, Empress Yang Jia Li appeared dazzling with blood-red hanfu, the three concubines wore simple hanfu and, "Where, Mei Mei?" ask the Queen Mother.
Emperor Zhou turned his head, "Tadi, the grand concubine is on the left side of the empress."
"Where is he now?"
Commander Hao whispered something in the emperor's ear.
"You sure?"
Commander Hao nodded, "Yes, Your Majesty. Blue shirt." Commander Hao replied.
"What's wrong?"
"No Mother." Emperor Zhou shook his head, "I don't think Mei-er is feeling well."
The Queen Mother nodded, "Then I have to visit her."
The emperor gasped for lying about Wu Li Mei, the man shook his head firmly. "It's not necessary, he'll be back in a minute. Now let him rest."
"Greetings, Your Grace. May the Emperor live a thousand years."
The emperor gazed into the fighting arena, two young men saluting him.
"Rise." Emperor Zhou said. The Emperor narrowed his eyes, in order to see the two young men. One in blue, and one in green. The emperor could not see his face because it was covered in a veil.
Such is the rule in this fight, participants must wear a veil so as not to cheat. Or quite the opposite.
The emperor carefully observed the blue-clothed young man, the young man repeatedly lashing out blows at the green-clothed youth. He jumped up and kicked his enemy's jaw with a salto kick.
"The blue shirt is the winner." chirped the Queen Mother, she put down her jasmine tea cup and observed the fight. "He's superior."
"We still don't know for sure" replied the emperor. "There's still a chance he's losing."
The fight was fierce, both camps were strong and equally wounded. The green clothes ran forward, delivering three blows that were still able to be fended off. Blue clothes look wrong, but don't underestimate their resilience. He caught the hand of the green shirt that was about to give the raw bogem back, twisting backward until the sound of cracks sounded.
Green clothes do not stay still, he scuttle the legs of the blue shirt as his last effort. Blue clothes managed to fall, but he quickly broke up and took advantage of the situation of his opponent who had been injured. He jumped and spun for a salto kick, giving one his last raw bogem.
Blood poured out on the corner of the lips of the green-clothed youth, he fell down right then and there. The referee counted to five and he did not get up.
...****************...
Empress Yang Jia Li drank her tea with a huff, the beautiful woman played her teacup while glancing sharply at the arena.
The empress took off one of her skewers as a sign, and her followers who were opposite immediately carried out the task.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three!"
"Four!" The referee of the fight counted, but the green-clothed youth did not get up.
Empress Yang Jia Li turned to the left side, where Wu Li Mei had just joined. "Where was May?" tanyakanya.
"Princess Zhou Xie Ling was suddenly unconscious, so I went to see her."
"Ah, that sick child." Empress Yang smiled curiously. "Then, how is he now."
Empress Yang smiled obliquely, "Something interesting is about to begin.
"What?" ask Wu Li Mei. "Did you say something?"
"No." Yang Jia Li shook his head, "No, I didn't say anything."
"WHITE!!!!" someone screeched in the middle of the fighting arena, shortly after the referee raised the hand of the blue-clothed youth the victory sign.
The pillar of the battle arena suddenly collapsed, because between one pillar and another pillar was connected. The four pillars he fell down simultaneously, the participants and spectators who were near the pillars scattered to save themselves.
But not for the referee and the blue-clothed youth who came out as winners. They did not have time to save themselves because the pillar fell quickly, lucky that the young man was not hit by a large milan intact, only his right calf. The young man fell in the middle of the arena, his veil came off and he let out a strong scream feeling an immense pain in his calf.
"Zhou Ming Hao!" shouted the Queen Mother.
Time seemed to stop for Wu Li Mei, the blue-haired woman was stunned by a split minute. His mind was mixed to see the tragedy unfolding very quickly.
Wu Li Mei held her hanfunya up high, the woman ran over to the son regardless of the Queen Mother and the people calling her name.
Wu Li Mei reached the arena, and everyone who wanted to save the prince stopped right then and there. The woman approached the son along with Zhou Fang Yin.
"Xiao Ming?" calling out to him, the woman stroked Zhou Ming Hao's agonized cheeks.
"Mother!" Zhou Ming Hao squeezed the mother's hanfu arm to channel the pain. "It hurts so much, Mom. My leg."
"Hold on, baby."
Wu Li Mei rolled up her hanf arm, looking for her comfortable position for Zhou Ming Hao without moving her right calf.
Wu Li Mei took off Zhou Ming Hao's shoes slowly, tearing off the trousers he was wearing. There were no visible physical injuries, Wu Li Mei placed her ear against the son's shin. There was a crackling sound from inside, no longer wrong. Tibia's invoice, Zhou Ming Hao, allegedly suffered a fracture in the shin of his right leg. There were no physical injuries in sight, Wu Li Mei guessed this was just a crack.
Wu Li Mei called out to some of the healers guarding the fight, "Did you bring a P3K box?"
"Sorry, Your Honor. What is P3K? What kind of medicine?"
Li Mei exhaled heavily, "Let down your bag!" her word.
Wu Li Mei ransacked the contents of the bag the healer had brought. And he did not find what he did, not even bidai and mitela he found, only small cloths and herbal remedies.
Wu Li Mei tore the bottom of the hanfu she was wearing. The woman immediately bandaged Zhou Ming Hao's shins. "Find me a bidai, and a stretcher."
"Bid?" ask the doctor again. "I mean, Your Majesty?"
Wu Li Mei looked at the physicians in frustration, "Let me two say long boards," the woman stretched out both hands. "And its width." It then shows the width of the bidai with its neck.
"Okay, Your Majesty." The two healers immediately searched for wooden blocks around the fighting arena. They found a plank of wood and split it in half.
"This, Your Majesty."
"Thank you." replied Wu Li Mei. He ripped his han and bandaged it at Zhou Ming Hao's feet.
The healers did not stay still, they placed the wooden blocks on either side of the crown prince's feet, according to Wu Li Mei's direction. Zhou Fang Yin also tore the hanfunya and gave it to his mother.
"Thank you dear." Wu Li Mei said to Princess Zhou Fang Yin.
"Together, Mother." Zhou Fang Yin wanted to cry as Wu Li Mei took the time to wipe the top of his head. But given the state of the brother who continues to whimper, make him refocus.
"Momuuu." - Zhou Ming Hao. "It hurts, ma'am."
"Calm down baby, this won't hurt anymore" Wu Li Mei replied.
The Grand Concubine wrapped the bidai at Zhou Ming Hao's feet from waist to ankle, making sure the prince's feet did not move in the slightest.
Many people who witnessed it were made to gawk with Wu Li Mei, honestly they did not know what the concubine was working on. But from the way he gave help to the crown prince, making people amazed and touched.
"Tabib, let's move the crown prince to the palanquin, please do it carefully." Wu Li Mei said.
"Take him back to his pavilion, and move him carefully."
Wu Li Mei breathed a sigh of relief as the healers brought the right stretcher this time. He approached Zhou Ming Hao before being taken away by the physician, "Is it still very painful?" tanyakanya. The woman's hand rubbed the sweat that flooded the crown prince's forehead.
Zhou Ming Hao shook his head slowly, "A little better, ma'am."
"You wait in your pavilion, I'll bring back the herbs" Wu Li Mei said.
The healers immediately brought the crown prince back to his residence, followed by many other guards and maids. Wu Li Mei turned around, she realized everyone's gazes were pointing at her.
"Good job, baby." Wu Li Mei was embracing Zhou Fang Yin's shoulder without caring about the people's gazes at him.
"Thank you, mother." Zhou Fang Yin ventured to hug Wu Li Mei's slender body.
There was no reply, the princess immediately let go of her embrace. "Go back to your pavilion, cleanse your body and rest."
"Good, mom."
