Animal Sacrifice For Mother

Animal Sacrifice For Mother
28. This is For Brother

Today looks bright, not like yesterday. Today also brother Arif decided not to go to the traditional market in order to keep Inaq who since yesterday still lay weak on the mattress. Brother Arif is worried, so is Rahman. Arif also showed his teary eyes to Rahman.

Rahman understands. He became the oldest son in the family. In addition to having to replace Inaq, Arif also had to keep Inaq alone when Rahman returned to the city to fulfill his responsibilities as a student.

Seeing the situation that does not seem to improve, Rahman tried to comfort a little brother Arif. He went to the room, the blink of his hand immediately grabbed the smartphone he bought with Doni a few days ago. Before long, the smartphone was affixed to the ear and immediately spoke to someone, then returned to meet brother Arif in Inaq's room.

“Already brother, Inaq will be fine.”

Rahman held Arif's shoulder. He smiled, although he looked a little imposing. In his heart, how could I possibly say something like this to Brother Arif, while I myself did not know what was going on with Inaq?

“Yes, hope you're right.”

Brother Arif looked over. Replying to Rahman's smile, also with the same treatment; a little imposing. At least, these brothers have been trying to strengthen each other.

As tens of minutes passed, Inaq was finally seen opening his eyes. Soon Arif and Rahman approached.

“Inaq? Thank God.”

Arif opened his voice. He stroked Inaq's cheek, gently stroking the white hair. Gratitude never ceases to be heard from the lips of both.

In the middle of the atmosphere, there was the sound of greetings from outside the house. The sound was no stranger to them. Twice, the greeting was heard. Occasionally accompanied by a call that mentions the names of the two, brother Arif and Rahman.

“That's Doni's voice?”

Brother Arif asked, his head slightly looked up at Rahman. Rahman nodded. Immediately set foot towards the door.

The answer to Rahman's greeting was immediately struck with a lazy tone of a Doni. He pretended to be irritated because his old friend opened the door. As usual, without being invited in, Doni had already entered.

Inside the house, Doni called out to Inaq. He misses coffee made by Inaq. He misses the cassava of Inaq stew. And to be sure, he missed Inaq. But suddenly he fell silent to see Inaq lying on the bed with brother Arif sitting right next to him.

“Inaq why, sis?”

Brother Arif is silent. Just look and smile. Tony repeated the same question. This time Inaq himself answered questions from Doni. And that answer carved a smile on the round face of a Doni.

“Rahman, where? Why are you still out there?”

Her name is Doni, not judging her best friend once can be stressful. But that is what always strengthens the rope of their friendship.

Not wanting Doni to scream again, Rahman went into Inaq's room. He carried something in his hand. Doni smiled, brother Arif looked astonished, while Inaq was still silent without a sound.

“This is for sister.”

Rahman offered a new guitar from American manufacturer Gibson SG that he bought with Doni a few days ago. Arif was surprised and happy. How could Rahman buy a guitar? Is this the gift of Doni that was deliberately entrusted so that the impression that Rahman gave it?

Not yet had the next question arise from the mind of brother Arif, Rahman explained that the guitar was purchased with scholarship money he received. Brother Arif is rising. He took the guitar from Rahman's hand. Now, their smiles look so loose without any element of coercion accompanying them.

Things slowly improve. For a moment, it was only a moment because Inaq's speech was able to turn everything into silence. The pleasure of Arif getting a new guitar is gone. Rahman is the same, he turned his face towards his new smartphone. While Doni was silent, not knowing what to do? This should be a happy couple, so why is everyone grieving?
