Happiness is Expensive for Me

Hana who was playing with the children occasionally noticed Kendrict sitting alone under a tree. His forehead frowned looking like the guy was daydreaming with a gaze directed at the horde of children playing. However, not long ago Hana noticed the man's behavior. He refocused on the children who asked him to teach origami.

“Wah, Brother Hana is great! Teach me, Brother,” said a child with passion.

Hannah laughed at how excited the boy was. The girl began to dissolve with her activity, with her serious face folding the paper and her mouth busy explaining.

“Gini belief, Brother?”

“Iya, nice it's got Rara,” answer and praise Hana.

“Kak Hana, I also ajarin dong,” said someone who suddenly came.

“Bby, come here gab ...”

Hana's words didn't continue when she found out who that person was. Aldi laughed and raised both fingers. The guy sat down and joined the kids who were focused on folding paper. Hana taught the kids how to make planes, boats, and penguins out of folding paper. They were very enthusiastic to be taught by him.

It did not feel like it was noon, the group from the social community decided to have lunch with the children. Earlier, a part of the group helped the caretaker to cook food. While others stay with the children. Now that meal time had arrived, the children were already in line to pick up their food.

“Eating a lot of sisters,” said Adi friendly to them.

Not only did the children eat, they from the social community also lined up after all the children had gotten their lunch. Hana turned to the right and left looking for the whereabouts of Kendrict which had not been seen since. I don't know where that guy went.

“Lo see Ken, Han?” ask Bima.

“No, Sister,” replied Hana with her head.

“Oh, I saw him sitting there. Haven't eaten yet, please, huh, Han?”

Hana nodded and hurried to comply with his friend's request. Hana approached Kendrict with a tray containing two plates of food and two glasses of drink. The girl went to the place where the guy was.

Hana felt strange about Kendrict's behavior all day. They spend more time alone and do not interact with children. Hana finds Kendrict sitting in the grass, a place that is quite shady because it is under a tree.

“Why don't you come in line with the others?” ask Hana.

Kendrict looked up at the face of Hana who was standing in front of him. The guy did not answer immediately, but stared at Hana's face long enough. Next, a mischievous grin emerged from his lips.

“Involuntarily let you bring food here,” said Kendrict who saw Hana carrying a tray.

Hearing Kendrict's reply made Hana snort. He put the tray he carried on the grass and gave Kendrict's plate.

“Nih, have lo.”

Kendrct accepts Hana's gift, the guy stares at the contents of his plate. There was rice and side dishes there, the guy glanced at Hana who was starting to enjoy the food. Feeling stared at, Hana turned to Kendrict.

“Why not eat?” hana asked her forehead.

“Gue is not a laper,” replied Kendrict put the plate on the tray.

The screams on Hana's forehead increased. “No way, it's lunch time. There's no way you haven't laper.”

“Attention also turns lo,” said Kendrict up and down her eyebrows teasing Hana.

“Lo do not like the side dish?” ask Hana carefully.

Hearing the question from Hana made Kendrict spontaneously turn his head. Surprised to hear the question come out of the girl's mouth. Does he look beautiful? Indeed, the lunch menu today is rice with fried chicken side dishes and fried tempeh and vegetable stir-fry beans. Kendrict has never eaten a menu like this.

“Sok tau lo,” alibi Kendrict throw his gaze in the other direction.

Hana just nodded, her guess was wrong meaningless. The girl enjoyed her lunch. However, a strange sound suddenly stopped the spoon that was about to enter his mouth.

“Still want to swallow if not laper?” sindir Hana, “Lo try sesap, this is delicious. Mothers here the cuisine is good,” continued Hana.

Kendrict finally had to comply. He tried a small mouthful of rice along with side dishes in his pring. There was a doubtful look on the guy's face, but the look Hana gave made Kendrict put the spoon in his mouth.

“Enak ‘kan?” hana asked with a smile as she looked at Kendrict's expression.

The man did not reply, he put the rice back in his mouth. I don't know how long he hasn't tasted home cooking like this. During this time Kendrict always eat out, even fast food with prices and menus for the upper class.

Only the meatballs in the stalls of his subscription became the only simple menu. Suddenly Kendrict's eyes warmed up, the man tried to withstand the tightness that suddenly ambushed him. It made Kendrict choke.

“Lo why? Slowly eating,” asked Hana frantically to see Kendrict coughed violently.

The girl tried to help Kendrict by patting him on the back. Feeling that it had subsided, Kendrict signaled if he was okay.

“Lo cry?” hana asked to notice that there were tears coming out of Kendrict's eyes.

The guy immediately wiped his tears out. “Gue spiciness.”

“Nih drink.” Hana thrust a glass of water at Kendrict.

Both plates are now empty. Kendrict really enjoyed lunch this time. Although at first he hesitated on the menu presented, in fact it did not feel like his appearance. Hana invites Kendrict to re-group with the children again. However, the man held back his footsteps and asked a question.

“Lo happy?” ask Kendrict.

Hana was speechless at the question, a strange question in her opinion. Of course Hana is happy, one of her happiness is being with the kids and can help them comfort them too.

“Iya,” replied Hana with a nod of the head, “Lo not happy?” ask Hana.

“Happiness is expensive for me,” replied Kendrict chuckled, “Come to it!”

Hana was speechless at Kendrict's reply, she looked at the guy who had moved away from her. Quite surprised to hear that from a Kendrict. Hana immediately followed the boy's steps. They regrouped with the other children.

After lunch and a clean-up, the community said goodbye. Not many children feel sad, there are even some who cry to let go of them. However, the community presents children if later they will return to play with them.

“Kak Hana used to play here again, huh? Ajarin Nino makes stork,” pinta a child hugs Hana tightly.

Hana smiled and nodded. Indeed, lately he rarely visited because he was still busy with school activities. Finished farewell, the group boarded their bus. The children in unison waved their hands off the departures of the good brothers, releasing them with cheerful smiles that came back.
