Chapter 23 - Want to pick up

At home, Mr. Darma was enjoying a cup of coffee in the backyard with cool breeze and blue swimming pool water. The cloth wrapped around his neck and the stick in his hand grips accompanied him to enjoy the cool atmosphere in the morning.

After arriving at the office where Mr. Santoso works, he contacted his best friend, Mr. Darma.

On the table near the cup of coffee, Mr. Darma's phone rang.

"Hallo Dar."

"Hallo San, what's wrong?"

"So I called Jemi, I asked her to pick up Tara after school. All of them walk to get closer and get to know each other further. But like Jemi refused."

"Well San, I'll talk to Jemi."

After talking on the phone with Mr. Santoso earlier, Jemi could not continue his sleep. He also stepped his feet into the bathroom, while still thinking about what was asked by Mr. Santoso over the phone earlier.

Mr. Darma went into Jemi's unlocked room. He was looking for Jemi but was not found. There was a shower in the bathroom. Mr. Darma sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for Jemi to finish her bath.

"Loh Pah, what's the matter here?"

"Papa wants to ask Jem something."

"What did you ask? Tell me about Jemi."

"Papa asks you to pick Tara up after school, take her with you Jem."

Jemi fell silent she could not say that she refused. Jemi is too dear to his papa, he can not see his papa disappointed for his umpteenth time, because his papa was once disappointed then in staying away by mama Jemi.

"Okay, pa, I'll obey whatever your will." With a heavy heart Jemi said that.

"Thank you son, papa wants you with Tara so you don't choose the wrong woman. Like what you used to experience with your mama."

"Uhukka..uhukk"

"Are you okay pa?" Jemi is holding Darma's back. Because from last night Jemi heard her papa didn't stop coughing.

"Papa gak papa Jem, you're ready soon. Then pick up Tara and take her for a walk. Papa went into the room first" Mr. Santoso went from inside Jemi's room.

If it's not for papa's sake, I'm not going to pick up the restless girl.

Gosh I forgot today there was a promise with Vina.

Jemi searches for her phone and contacts Vina's lover.

"Papa asked for anther to his best friend's house." Jemi reasoned. Because she doesn't want Vina to know about her matchmaking with Tara.

"Judah I'm coming."

"Can't love me Vina. You know papa does not know about our relationship, papa also does not give permission. Papa said I have to reach my mind first."

"But when is Jem! We hide like this. You are in jogja I am there, now you are in Jakarta also I am here right. I've always been there for you, I've always been with you. But what a hard thing is to tell your papa about this relationship of ours!"

"Prophey baby, I'll tell you the same papa. And I promise that if I succeed, I'll marry you."

"Later out of sending papa, I'm going to your house huh."
