Chapter 5 (the stubborn shenanigans)
Alexander arrives at the hospital and quickly brings Aria inside.
His pulse was low when he checked it. As soon as the doctor saw him, they rushed to see him.
"I want him in perfect health!", He shouted at the shivering doctors.
They bring Aria inside and start taking care of her without wasting any time.
Rachel and Rick walk to the receptionist because they don't know where Alexander is.
He was driving too fast for them and it took them at least five minutes to catch up.
"Is there anything I can help you with?", the woman at the table asked and looked at Rick as if she wanted to eat him alive.
Her eyes traced her body and Rachel noticed it. "here!", said Rachel and Rick chuckling at her,
"We're looking for Alexander. He just brought a girl here, didn't he? Can you tell me where they are?"
"Of course you can! That's her job" Rachel said as she rolled her eyeballs. The receptionist sighed,
"Ward B2s". Rick thanks the woman and leaves with his jealous girlfriend.
"Alex!", Rick saw Alexander leaning against the wall outside, next to the door. She sees Rick and Rachel coming towards her.
"What's wrong with her?", Rachel asked and peered inside through a small circular window found on the door.
Sia*l to him, he couldn't see Aria because the doctors were around.
"Your friend is stubborn! That's what's wrong with him. How could someone be so stubborn??", Alexander was angry at Aria for not listening to the doctor before.
If he did, he wouldn't be here. Alexander blames himself for his current situation.
She was angry at him but at the same time, she was grateful. He owes it to her and she knows it very well.
Saving me, means endangering himself but he doesn't care.
"What's he doing? How did you two know each other?", Rachel was confused and Rick was too.
"He saved my life, gave me his blood and ran away", Alexander spoke and sighed.
"He gave you his blood? What happened to you??", Rick was worried.
"I'll tell you later" said Alexander and Rick nodded.
"What do you mean, he ran away?", Rachel asked, unable to understand what Alexander meant.
"He got an emergency call and left the hospital!", Alexander said, trying to stay calm.
"Geez!!! His father! It was the only urgent call he could get! There might be something wrong with her, that's why she left.", Rachel pulled out her phone and dialed Gerard's number.
.",Rachel pulled out her phone and dialed Gerard's number. He answered on the first ring,
"Rachel? What's going on?" Gerard knows Aria and Rachel very well.
He is a friend of Aria's father and Rachel's uncle. Rachel's parents are in another country because they both want to spend time alone.
Given Rachel is mature and responsible, they allow her to live alone and Rachel likes her.
"Uncle Gerard, what happened to Uncle Jeremy?", Rachel asked, sounding worried.
Aria's father treated her like his own daughter and vice versa.
"Didn't Aria tell you?",
"a-what do you mean?", Rachel did not believe what she heard.
"You heard me. I explained everything to Aria. Ask him, he'll tell you. Look, I have an operation to do so I have to go, bye. Take care of yourself and if you need anything, you know where to find me" Gerard said before deciding on a call.
Rachel walked towards the chair and sat down then tears started to fall from her eyes. She was crying not only because of what she had just heard . but also because of Aria. Jeremy is Aria's foster father. Aria has been through a lot in her past.
Any other girl in her place would be completely crushed but she remained strong.
"She must be.very devastated now.", Rachel muttered in tears. Rick could not see his girlfriend in that state, he rushed towards her and sat down beside her, using his hands, he put his head on her chest and hugged her.
"she's the strongest girl I've ever known.she's been through a lot and seen how unfair God is to her? Her father is dying.", Rachel cried.
"shh is okay", Rick tries to cheer him up but in vain. After a few minutes, the door opened and the doctor came out,
"he'll be fine. Just need a break and I'll give you a list of the foods she needs to eat."
Alexander nodded and followed the doctor to his cabin while Rachel entered the room and saw Aria lying on the bed with as many wires connected to her body as last time.
"How do you feel?", Rachel asked as she saw Aria looking at her faintly. He tried to keep his eyes open. Not wanting to worry about her best friend, Aria managed to smile, she said,
"better. You-kaa mmu ng.", The voice is low and faint.
"No way! I'll stay with you here" Rachel said seriously and sat down next to him.
"It's late and you should go home. I'll be fine on my own.", Aria managed to speak.
"He's right. You should go, you two.", Alexander entered the room and said to Rachel and Rick. He continued, "I'll stay with him."
"of course. Let's go, honey. Trust my best friend, he will keep her safe" Rick told an unsure Rachel who eventually nodded her head.
"See you tomorrow!!", said Rachel and kissed Aria's forehead before leaving with Rick.
"You should also go", Aria said to Alexander who was looking at her.
"I live with you and you can't argue" She said firmly and seriously.
Aria wanted to refuse but she was too weak to speak so she fell asleep because she was also very tired.
Alexander sat on the sofa in the VIP ward where Aria was. She's staring.
"How can anyone be so beautiful? So.perfect?", he thought. He admired her, every detail on her face.
Her eyes fell on her slightly opened lips as she slept. He suddenly felt a desire to kiss her.
"What happened to you, Alex?? Control yourself!", he cried in his heart.
"he's too innocent.too pure.too good.too perfect to know me. I'm a fucking darkness that's gonna ruin his life unknowingly, because he saved me.
His blood runs through my veins.I can't let anything happen to him, I won't do it.", He promised himself.
She was still staring at Aria as her phone started ringing, "What's wrong?" "Did you find him? Was he safe?", John asked as soon as Alexander answered the call.
"He'll be fine" Alexander replied calmly and in a low voice while Aria was sleeping.
"Are you with him?", John asked who made Alexander hum, "Hmmm...I need to talk to Grandpa."
"Wait." said John and Alexander could hear the movement from the other side. After a few seconds, Alexander's grandfather spoke, saying,
"What's going on?" "I will make him stay in my private house" Alexander said seriously.
