CHAPTER 8: Feeling Calm

Two weeks into his treatment, Randy never left his mother, all the work he did in the hospital. Although Ratih continued to whine home a few days ago, but it was not heeded by Randy. His condition is now much better than before.

Randy did not want to see Ratih sick again, which is why he asked for more time for his mother to be treated. After all he can afford anything for the care of Ratih. Ratih has been transferred since one week ago in the VVIP inpatient room of Bandung city hospital.

This morning, at 08:20, Ratih was very eager to go to the hospital park, but he did not dare to say that to Randy because since 05:00 am, Randy was struggling with a laptop. His eyes seemed focused every time he did the work, Ratih rarely even saw Randy blink when he was staring at the glued screen.

Ratih was very bored, but he could not ask anyone to accompany him to the park, because mbok Santi was coming home to clean the house, besides there was no nurse in his room, all the nurses are busy.

Many times Ratih looked at his son, but the prince did not budge at all. His two eyes even seemed reluctant to stare around.

God seemed to hear Ratih's groaning in his heart, for bringing David into his ward.

“David, please take me to the park. I'm so bored here, that one human I can't talk to from earlier!” the train that Randy doesn't care about. Soon David helped Ratih sit in a wheelchair.

Ratih has not been allowed to walk far, because it can make him tired again. Before leaving, David gives a stack of reports that Randy must double-check and some files that his young master must sign.

Randy only realized if Ratih was not in his ward at 12:15, it was because his stomach asked for lunch rations.

Randy was confused to find Ratih where else, because he had been looking for the mother in the bathroom, outside the room and hallway VVIP room, but never found the figure of Ratih. Until finally, Randy's brain just remembered that David came this morning.

‘Basic combro! Why do I just want to call uncle David anyway!’ Randy hit his head slowly using his right hand, while condemning his sometimes relapsing lupus nature.

Randy immediately ran to the park, after learning that his mother was there. Meanwhile, Ratih asks David about who called him just now.

“Young master Randy,” replied David briefly.

“What does he say?” ratih asked without looking at David, his eyes were still staring at the flowers in the garden.

“Young master looking, you mistress.”

“Ck! That kid, I've been gone from morning, uh just lost now!”

Patih really likes flowers. Her favorite flower is the white rose. He crowned the white rose as his favorite because the late Rohit gave it when proposing. Since then the eyes of Ratih always sparkle when looking at white roses.

It has been almost four hours, Ratih enjoying the atmosphere of the hospital garden. He really likes the fresh air in the park, unlike the air ‘kaktif’ in the nursery.

In the hospital garden, there are many flower plants. Instantly Ratih missed the back garden in his house.

“David, when can I go home?” ratih asked quietly, but still could be heard by David. But David did not answer.

“I miss home a lot, miss the memories with my late husband at home, miss the garden behind my house, miss everything in the house,” Ratih's tears drip that happened to be seen by Randy. Randy had even heard all of Ratih's words just now, yet he chose to chuckle.

“Mother, I was looking for it was here.” said Randy as he rubbed Ratih's arm, David had shifted his position from now on.

Ratih first remove the remains of tears on both cheeks, then ask to be delivered to the room because it feels quite tired. Randy then drove Ratih slowly.

“Uncle, should mom take you home soon huh? I feel sorry for my mother talking about it, but I also worry that mom will come home soon after mother keingetan late father again. I'm worried that mom is kayaking again.” said Randy.

Randy does not want his mother's mental health to be disrupted as before. He wanted to see Ratih always healthy, cheerful and smiling a lot.

Simultaneously, there came several hospital officials who were in a hurry to deliver a young princess who was lying weakly on a cage.

The teenage princess looked very weak with a lot of blood coming out of her school's white uniform, next to which was a woman her age who was crying while saying her name, but it did not sound clear.

“Lo must be strong, you must be healed. Many people love the same lo!” said the girl beside the cage who turned out to be Ifa, while holding the hand of her best friend, Eren.

Eren did not reply to Ifa, he just tried to smile so that his best friend was calm and not worried about him.

Randy continued to watch Ifa from top to bottom, until his heart rippled, his heart racing as his body side by side with Ifa. Unknowingly, he followed Ifa's footsteps.

“Nona wait outside yes, let the doctor focus on treating friends miss.” nurse message, Ifa also complies. He wants Eren to be treated by a doctor immediately.

Ifa tries to inform Eren's family, but his call is not raised by Eren's mother. Not wanting to give up, Ifa then called Eren's sister's number, but her call was not lifted at all.

*Flashback*

Ifa and Eren are on foot after both of them came out of a photo studio. At first Ifa refused, but because the friend insisted, he finally wanted to when Eren pulled his hand to enter the photo studio.

Eren said, today he really wanted to take pictures with Ifa, a friend he had known for a long time, namely since class X High School.

As Eren waited for Ifa in front of the stall by the roadside, suddenly came a minibus at high speed heading towards him. The minibus was a little smelly until it hit Eren who was standing, when Eren's body collapsed, fresh blood poured from Eren's left head and shoulder. Ifa immediately approached her friend.

Ifa called Eren, but the name master did not respond. Ifa screamed for help to get people around to call an ambulance. He couldn't think clearly about just calling.

Shortly after the ambulance came, Eren's body was immediately put into the ambulance. Ifa faithfully accompanied Eren beside him.

*Flashback done*

Randy approaches Ifa who looks very sad.

“You, her daughter doctor Jo ‘kan?” ask Randy. Randy tried to convince himself that he was not wrong.

Ifa does not answer Randy's question, he actually holds both hands Randy. He's trying to find strength, from someone else who happens to be Randy. The man he had seen while he was very weak in the rooftop of this hospital.

When Randy's body felt strange, there was a feeling he had never felt before. But he was unable to release the handrails of the opposite sex who was feeling very sad.

In contrast to Randy, Ifa felt calmer and stronger when his hand touched the hand of the man he had met twice, as if Randy was the source of his strength.
