East Gate: The Cold Summer

Kidlington. Maya looked at the vast hall. People from all over the world are becoming a daily sight at the Oxford city airport.

May is at Oxford?

"Where?" asked Herryl while holding a trolley containing a suitcase and backpack. He saw a look of astonishment from the eyes of the girl who was standing beside him.

GYUT!!

"Ouch!" strangling Herryl because Maya pinched his arm.

"Oh, not a dream" Maya said guiltlessly. Herryl's eyes widened.

"You pinch this sick thing just for proof that it wasn't a dream? Oh, my gosh, May. Can blue all my body if this is the way," complained Herryl who acted out the small laughter of Mr. Ardhiwijaya.

"Come, May. We're taking a cab to the hotel." Madam Anggi invites Maya who is still staring in amazement at the various corners of the airport. Maya nodded then walked beside Herryl.

Suddenly Maya felt the air temperature was too cold. He slowed his steps.

"May?" asked Herryl who had slowed his pace. The girl showed her smile then increased her pace. They caught up with both of Herryl's parents. Four took a taxi to the nearest hotel.

The trip only takes 5 minutes and Maya tries to enjoy the atmosphere of summer. Summer can be this cold as it turns out, the inner Maya.

After arriving at the Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel, Herryl immediately headed for the reception desk. He registered two rooms, one for his parents, one for Maya. He only needs to walk 500 meters to get to Exeter so there is no need to book a room again. While waiting for the booking to succeed, Herryl clasped Maya's hand and put his hand in her hoodie pocket. Maya complies because she feels cold.

"Okay, here's your room key, sir," the receptionist said, handing over the access card as the room key.

"Thank you" said Herryl. Maya approached her parents who were sitting in the lobby.

Herryl showed one double room to both his parents. It seems that it has become a habit if the Ardhiwijaya family travels then Herryl who arranges his travel plans. Earlier, Herryl sent ittinerary to Maya's phone.

"Herryl inter Maya, yes, Ma, Pa," said Herryl pamit. Both his parents nodded and let the two young men walk into the room beside them.

Herryl opens the door of the hotel room and guides Maya to the bed.

"You're sick, huh? Take a break" said Herryl before Maya asked him why he was invited to bed. The girl nodded then sat on the edge of the bed. Herryl was putting down a backpack when Maya suddenly ran into the bathroom.

"Change, yes, May, rest" said Herryl while washing Maya's pale face. Herryl hurriedly picked up the backpack and placed it on the bathroom floor. Let Maya close the bathroom door and change clothes.

"Here, drink the warm water. The tea, too," said Herryl as Maya exited the bathroom. "Later if less, the dispenser in front of the bed, yes. Tea and coffee bags are also available. But, you do not need to drink coffee first," continued Herryl when Maya throw a questionable gaze.

"Ryl," called Maya while holding the glass that the tea was already toilet.

"Have you? Go to bed first, I'll go to the dorm after you go to sleep" said Herryl again. He lifted the blanket up Maya's neck. As the man was about to move on, Maya pulled the heavy hand that had helped her.

"Thank you" Maya said weakly. Herryl showed his sweetest smile.

A phone ringing sounded. Maya Mobile. Herryl picked up the phone and then received his phone call.

"Yes, Miss Rini. We have arrived. Maya is just about to rest in her room at the hotel with mom papa. Oh, me? I'll also take a break at the college dorm, ma'am," said Herryl. Then he handed the phone to Maya.

"Yes, Ma. Maya is fine just tired," replied Maya trying to make her voice as habitual as possible. After a few minutes, the phone connection was cut off.

Herryl had just left the room after Maya convinced herself she was healthier.

"If you go after I sleep, what about the keys to the room?" ask Maya.

"Oh, yes. You're correct. So, the ones in those movies are not logical, huh?" answer Herryl.

"Basic. Come home, May is healthier now," said Maya.

"Yes. You rest, yeah. If there's a need at the table there's an intercom to call bellboy. You can also call me. Exeter's only 500 meters, really, from here." Herryl told me before leaving the room. Don't forget the head of the girl. Maya nodded.

...-connect-...
